Panka is a restaurant in a magical place, that is, by the corner outside of the Plaza Mayor in Salamanca. The best option obviously is to enjoy your meal at the terrace. The dishes are really good, you feel the freshness of the products, for instance the arepa guara or the cheese empanada. However, the portions are too small, and the staff is not interested enough in your time when waiting for the coffee or the bill...

The very high rating is well deserved. Had an empanada, arepa, chocolate/coconut cookie and flat white, and everything was honestly perfect. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Given the perfect location I'd have expected a place this good to have a line out the door, but when I was there it was nice and quiet. Highly recommend.

It's been some time since I haven't tasted honest South American and Venezuelan flavours. Gladly I by chance was passing by Panka, it is hard to find this cuisine as non pretentious nowadays. Simple and well prepared food. If I return to Salamanca, I shall definitely return here. Thanks.

Really good food for a quick bit. I recommend the cheese option, it combines nice with the corn dough. The service was great and fast also. It is fried so prepare your heart. You can even enjoy a nice view of the plaza if you seat outside.

Eclectic, comfy restaurant with great food. We had Arepa italiana & vegana as well as plaintain sandwich. All are delicious

Exactly what I want when I google brunch! Delicious food, generous portions and very friendly service. A perfect spot to start the day right.
